The Wingbrace Digital Engineering Team is charged with identifying, developing, and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging software and systems engineering problems.

This is an opportunity for a Data Analyst who is highly motivated, innovative, and self-directed. This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one’s Data, and analytical skills.
This opportunity will be client facing, and collaborative with a lot of growth. You will present to the highest levels of the division and be asked your opinion. You will work with an experienced team who will mentor, coach, and share best practices.
The ideal person for this position has an exceptional eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a solid understanding of popular data analysis tools. He/she will work closely with product owners, and end users across various lines of business to understand the objectives of our clients and prioritize any requirements.

Day to day responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your Data, Communication and Engineering expertise by:
  • Working with several of our data sets and developing respective reports/visualizations.
  • Develop and analyze scenarios that tie in all mission areas.
  • Generation of analytical modeling solutions to assess performance, identifying technology gaps, creating technology roadmaps, developing requirements, and specifying the operational benefits of current and future concepts based on client approved scenarios.
  • Support  development and briefing of data packages that provide analysis results to inform government decision-makers.
  • Review and report all findings to appropriate parties. Explain the testing of data and the ability to import and process anything confidential according to the guidelines given.
  • Create reports for the customer and internal users that can provide clarity trends as well as areas for improvement.
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements as well as initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Develops, inspects, and  transforms, the  data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage.
  • Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance. Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with other stake holders.
 
Skills/Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Business, a quantitative field or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years or more of a related experience

Required:
  • Must be a US citizen. With the ability to obtain a security clearance. Before applying, please read about the qualifications for obtaining a security clearance.
  • Programming languages for quantitative analyses (ex. Mathematica, Python, R)
  • Technical writing (e.g., data definitions) experience
  • Experience using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Experience building dashboards, visualizations, and presentations.
  • Ability to understand business needs and relay into easy to understand, non-technical language.

Beneficial:
  • Have a minimum secret US DoD clearance.
  • Deep Data Profiling and Data Modeling Experience
  • Analyzing data for Air Force/DoD programs.
